We are thrilled to share some exciting news from Fishy Filaments!
On the 18th of April 2024, we had the honour of hosting senior representatives from the British Business Bank and SWIG Finance at our base. It was an inspiring day filled with innovation and collaboration.
To set the scene. The sun was shining, and there was a palpable sense of excitement as we prepared for the arrival of our guests.
Once acquainted we jumped straight into business and the day-to-day operations of Fishy Filaments. This consisted of a guided tour around the facilities where we discussed sustainability initiatives, key milestones and our growth trajectory. The guests were able to see the innovative process of transforming end-of-life fishing nets into an ultra-low carbon supply of engineering grade Nylon 6.
One of the highlights off the day was hearing first-hand feedback from the board-level representatives of the British Business Bank and SWIG finance. Their insights and positive impressions reaffirmed the importance of the mission and the impact we are making in the world of sustainable manufacturing and innovative technology.

Since we received the investment from the British Business Bank and SWIG Finance, we have been able to reach new heights. From investing in new equipment to hiring new staff, the support from our investors has been instrumental to our growth and success. The investment is not only a financial contribution; it’s a vote of confidence in our ability to provide a high quality, sustainable material.
