We’re delighted to announce that Fishy Filaments has become a member of the Ultimaker Material Alliance.

AND the launch our Porthcurno filament in 2.85mm variant.

Ultimaker is acknowledged as a global leader in desktop 3D printing systems, supplying both hardware and software that enables production-grade application of the technology. Over the last year Ultimaker has been working with engineering materials companies and Tier One customers to take their systems out of the design studio and onto the production line.

The Ultimaker Material Alliance is part of that work.

In their own words – ‘Ultimaker will provide software based on extensive research and development, and material knowledge to allow the collaborating companies to generate and maintain material profiles so that customers can reliably use the materials on Ultimaker 3D printers. With the material profiles, users will be able to print automatically, using preconfigured settings available in Ultimaker Cura, the world’s leading 3D printing software with well over two million users worldwide. The alliances will serve as a strong foundation for future collaborations, opening up doors for more advanced applications based on user demand.’

Fishy Filaments becomes the first and only supplier of engineering grade recycled nylon filament into Ultimaker’s eco-system. A click away from over 2 million Cura users, all of whom know that our filament has passed rigorous tests and has a detailed material profile that has been optimised for use with Ultimaker’s 3 and S5 machines.

And we couldn’t be more delighted !

Just look how well out first attempt at the final test print.
